The problem
Parents across MENA want children prepared for an AI economy, but school computer classes teach memorization, not problem-solving, and private courses vary wildly in quality.
Why it worked
Founded in Cairo in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School built a structured youth curriculum spanning coding, AI, machine learning, software development, data science, game development and cybersecurity. The company reports 120,000+ students reached and 230% revenue growth, blending physical branches with online learning.
Challenges
Youth education is high-touch and instructor-dependent; expanding into Saudi Arabia tests hiring, curriculum localization and unit economics; and the promised AI-personalized platform must adapt to each student’s pace without replacing teachers.
